Resident Engagement Director for ICFID

The Engagement Department is focused on providing quality of life opportunities for the resident (Elder) that uphold their right to a life full of purpose, connection, empowerment, and possibility …regardless of their abilities.

 

Qualifications:

Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (preferred)

Therapeutic Recreation Technician required (TRT license within 9 months of hire)

Experience working with, and an awareness of the needs of people with intellectual disabilities

 

Essential Job functions:

 

  1. Complete all required documentation including: assessments, formal goals, quarterly notes and participation charting
  2. Conduct evaluation of overall program and each activity offered
  3. Create a monthly calendar of activities that reflects the residents’ needs and interests
  4. Facilitate daily activities/interventions that are engaging and meaningful to the residents
  5. Organize and supervise the completion of Recreation Therapy formal goals for active treatment
  6. Attend required treatment team, IPP meetings and provide pertinent information and concerns for each individual resident
  7. Use effective communication skills with residents, family members, care partners, treatment team members, medical professionals, and outside community
  8. Collaborate with treatment team to provide activities and events that build relationships between residents, care partners, families and the community.
