Resident Engagement Assistant

Qualifications:

Therapeutic Recreation Technician required (TRT license within 9 months of hire)

Experience working with, and an awareness of the needs of geriatric populations

 

Essential Job functions:

 

  1. Collaborate with the Engagement Director to create a monthly calendar of activities that reflects the residents’ needs and interests
  2. Facilitate daily activities/interventions that are engaging and meaningful to the residents
  3. Provide in-room resident activities as needed
  4. Assist with completing documentation including: assessment interviews and participation charting
  5. Use effective communication skills with residents, family members, care partners, treatment team members, medical professionals, and outside community
  6. Collaborate with Engagement Director to provide activities and events that build relationships between residents and care partners.
  7. Maintain, organize, clean, and distribute activity supplies.
