West Jordan Care Center is warm and inviting facility, uniquely created to serve the needs of those individuals with developmental disabilities. In a community-based, homelike atmosphere, the professional administration and staff provide many years of combined experience in serving people with disabilities. Every person is important to us, and receives proper personalized care based upon individual needs.
The Care Center is single level building built on a three-acre plot of ground. Our facility meets or exceeds state and federal building regulations of a health care institution. A pleasant atmosphere is created for the 82-bed center, with a recreation room, greenhouse and nature trail. A privacy fence surrounds the grounds to assure safety and areas are provided for therapeutic gardening and small animal care.
We feel there is worth in every human being and our goal is to develop to the greatest possible extent all of the talents and personalities of these individuals. They deserve an atmosphere of love, with care given by people who are genuinely concerned for each person as an individual. We recognize that in many cases families, although willing, are unable to provide for their needs. We at West Jordan Care Center hope to fulfill that special role and fully maximize the potential of every individual.

West Jordan Care Center is one of 92 long
term care facilities in 28 states that have earned the American Health Care
Association's (AHCA) Quality Award for demonstrating its strong commitment
to continuous quality improvement.
West Jordan Care Center has received an
AHCA/NCAL Step I Quality Award. All of the facilities that applied for this
award addressed how they integrated the elements of systematic continuous
quality improvement into their operations. As a Step I recipient, West
Jordan Care Center or Hurricane Rehabilitation Center demonstrated its
organization-wide commitment to a customer-focused facility mission, defined
its principal customers and their expectations, and indicated ways that it
is striving to meet their needs.
"The AHCA/NCAL Quality Awards are the most prestigious recognition
of quality within the long term care profession," stated AHCA/NCAL President
and CEO, Bruce Yarwood. "This facility's achievement places it at the
forefront of organizational and performance excellence, where the mission of
exceptional care for the elderly and disabled is vigorously pursued."

AHCA/NCAL's Quality Award is modeled after the criteria of the Malcolm
Baldrige National Quality Award, the nation's premier award recognizing
distinguished achievements. AHCA/NCAL's award is designed to support both
continuous quality improvement efforts in long term care by promoting
quality awareness and education and to recognize quality achievements.

West Jordan Care Center offers convenient access from all areas of the Wasatch Front. From I-15 in Salt Lake City, take exit 301 (7200 South). Continue west on 7200 South (merges to become 7000 South) to 3200 West. Turn left (south) on 3200 West and continue to 7800 South. At 7800 South, turn right (west) and continue one block. West Jordan Care Center sits back from the street behind Jordan Meadows Medical Center.
